I think the saying content is king is defo 100% right. You can have all the fancy sharing options and widgets and SEO you want but if the content is not good and people don’t enjoy it then it really will never work. You need to think about your audience when writing and not focus on writing for search engines. Write good content and watch people share it all day long.
